Stunning Entertainer’s Condo on the Water

Beautifully renovated 1365 square foot interior living space and 98 square foot balcony 1+den condo with an entertainer’s kitchen.  Unobstructed views of Lake Ontario and fabulous sunsets through a west-facing wall of windows and a large balcony bring you close to nature.  In this condo you can enjoy delightful living right beside Lake Ontario, across from the Toronto Islands and the numerous parks and green spaces on the water’s edge while being right on two streetcar lines (TTC 509 Harbourfront and TTC 510 Spadina) that take you into the heart of Toronto’s Union Station every few minutes.  This is truly the best of all possible worlds in downtown Toronto.  Just steps to the Toronto Island Airport and across the street from the convenience of a Starbucks and Shopper’s Drug Mart-with-grocery.  If you enjoy lake-front living it’s hard to think of a better location than this in Toronto.

The suite has a wood-burning fireplace that enables you to cozy up throughout the year as you watch the seasons change on the shore of Lake Ontario.  Boats dock right in front of your condo building and a water taxi (Tiki Taxi) is ready to take you to the Toronto Islands from the Spadina Wave Deck located beside the condo.  A friendly 24 hour concierge handles your requests in this quiet luxury boutique building.  The condo has an indoor pool, gym, a BBQ deck, meeting room and visitor parking.

A Living Room on Wheels

As Toronto developers try to figure out how small they can make a condo that people are still willing to accept, (answer:  289 square feet, see Smarthouse Condo Design ),

some car makers are increasing the size of their SUVs.  For instance,  Globe and Mail auto journalist Patrick Dell offers a humorous review of the Infiniti QX80, a giant luxury SUV describing it as a “living room sofa on wheels with a nice sound system.”

Gladstone Hotel Hosts Artists and Designers at Come Up To My Room 2015

The opening night party of Come Up To My Room 2015 was held on Jan 16, 2015.

Come Up To My Room is an annual ten-day event at the Gladstone Hotel where artists and designers have the space to develop and display their creative projects.   Here’s a video I made of a few of these installations.  This video features artwork from designers and artists at CUTMR2015, including work curated by Sander Freedman inspired by the handmade rugs at W Studio, Carla Poirier who curated a theme linking elements of graphic design with art, and the incredible several-storeys-high installation called “Ascent” by Phil Irish.
